Sing Me a Song of Spring

Is it spring yet?

No.

Every morning I wake-up and look out the bedroom window anxiously hoping the sun is bright and warm, melting the winter snow and forcing greenery to blossom. Since it is only February 15th this hope is merely a dream.

I have severe spring fever. It's bad. I want to be outside hiking, playing in the garden, taking snapshots of the migratory birds returning to the northwoods...I AM READY FOR SPRING. I really can't articulate it any other way.

I found this photo of a song sparrow taken in 2010 that I never posted from my "100 Days Up Boot Creek" assignment. Sadly, it will be at least another month before I hear this birdie sing me a song of spring.**
